GameDay: vs. Nashville (18-14-4-2, 42) 7:30 EST

Tonight is the fourth of six meetings this season between these two Central Division teams. The Predators have won all three previous meetings, including the game which was arguably the lowest point of the Wings' season so far, a game in which they scored four unanswered goals in the third period to win 4-3 on November 8th. They won the other two games 5-4 (October 30) and 1-0 (December 20). The Wings are on an 11-game home unbeaten streak and will be looking to extend it to 12 tonight. They are 10-0-1 in their past 11 games at the Joe and are an NHL-best 16-3-1 at home this season. The Wings beat the Ducks 3-1 at home on Saturday and the Hurricanes 4-1 in Carolina on Friday night. The Predators are 7-9-1-1 on the road this season and are coming off a 3-2 win over the Devils on Saturday. Tonight's game is the first in a tough stretch for the Preds in which they will face four of the league's top eight teams in six days (@Detroit, @Toronto, v.Colorado, v.St. Louis). Curtis Joseph should get the start after being rested on Saturday. Tonight is not going to be an easy one for the Wings. The Predators are not the team they started out as. They have begun making a name for themselves and are no longer a pushover expansion team. Still, the Wings should be able to get over whatever it is that is keeping them from beating the Preds and get a win. They're on a roll and will hopefully play with enough discipline tonight to pull of their first win over Nashville this season. They got the day off yesterday and should be fairly well rested for tonight. Freep | News | ESPN
