"We'll see how his injury is. But, uh..."

- from NBC's rinkside pre-game interview with Chris Pronger (said with a barely concealed smirk). Can you guess which player he's talking about? It's times like these that I really wish the Wings had an enforcer...

That Pronger is a class act. Not. This is the time we miss a McCarty.

Question: Does hoping Pronger misses the rest of the series with a case of Ebola make me a bad person? (I do want him to recover...just in July!)

No, baroque. I think that is perfectly reasonable.

Not only does this guy make me madder than Todd Bertuzzi on his worst day, but he's playing well and it's killing the wings.

They blew the home-ice advantage in more than one way. Today would have been an opportune time for a zamboni accident involving Pronger (that he fully recovers from after the playoffs, of course).

I concur about an enforcer. The playoffs are more physical this year because of the new rules. More hitting. More speed. More pileups in front of the net. More scrums.

I say dress Corey Cross on Tuesday.

I agree with dressing Cross. He's been the closest thing we've had to tough all year. As much as I like to see Lebda playing, it's really not benefiting the team. He basically sits on the bench the whole game, leaving us with five defensemen, and a lot of minutes for Lidstrom. Lebda does bring offense, but right now, I think we need someone to stand up for Pav and Hank--especially against the likes of Chris Pronger.

I don't think there's an enforcer currently in the league who would much improve the physical situation for you guys. Laraque doesn't fight much, but I think that has more to do with his would-be opponents.

What happened to McClean??? Why don't they put him on the roster? Can they? He would definitly be an enforcer.

Ah, I think Franzen can put the Oiler's in their place. When he's unleashed, he does a good job of making the other team pay. Refer back to Game 1. A little more of that, then hell, the Oiler's will be looking over their shoulder the whole game.

Any time a defender is the captain, as Jason Smith is, you can bet the whole team is going to be a bitch. No wonder the Oiler's love having Pronger so much.
