Chelios going back to Chicago

Red Wings defenseman Chris Chelios has almost finalized a deal with the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League for this season. A problem with optaining the right insurance had kept him from joining the team but he said on the radio Friday that the issue has been ironed out and now the contract details need to be worked out. He needed to be insured for $2.5 million because he was offered that much by the Wings during the summer. The Wolves' expect to have Chelios for their November 24th game against the Houston Aeros. Why they can't get a deal done before then, I don't know. Chelios still plans on playing in the NHL if/when it starts up again so don't expect this to have any sort of permanence. A clarification: technically, Chelios is not a "Red Wings defenseman" since he has not re-signed with the team but I am assuming he will eventually.
